Problem loading Windows on new SATA HD

I just bought a brand new computer and i put a 160GIG SATA hd in it but when i turned it on and put the windows cd in it to load windows no partitions came up. So i had to put in my other maxtor hd 200 gig ATA to load windows. AFter i loaded windows i partitioned the SATA so i tried to load windows on it again and for some reason it still doesnt reconize it to load windows but it works with everything else on my compter. Any IDEAS
 
You need to preload the drivers to your SATA controller, or Windows won't recognise your HDD when you come to that point in the install. Press the F6 key when the installer first comes up, then insert the driver floppy which came with your SATA controller. If there's more than one driver listed, choose the most appropriate one.

do you know what chipset your motherboard has?

or maybe the HD's manufacturer's can let you burn the drivers off their site onto a floppy, then you insert the floppy to load drivers for additional unrecognized SCSI drives
 
The motherboard is a Asus A8V-Deluxe the chipset is a VIA K8T800Pro + VT8237.
The HD is a Hitachi Deskstar sata 160 Gig
