I'm trying to recover data from an ooooooold early '90s Toshiba laptop whose battery is entirely dead. I managed to remove the hard drive to connect it internally to a desktop via IDE but of course the port is laptop-sized and won't fit with the IDE ribbon connector in the desktop. Do you guys think this would work?

    Thanks in advance.

It's for my employer. She has important data on it, and I need to recover it.
