Here's the scoop: I have a Dell Demension 3000 512mb ram with P4 processor with integrated graphics(which isn't great I'm finding out) My motherboard has 3 PCI slots and a space where it says AGP on the board, BUT all that is there are these silver dots that look like you can plug an AGP slot into.(like punch outs) First of all... Can I put an AGP slot in that spot? If I can where would I buy one? Also what AGP compatible graphics card would be recommended? If an AGP slot can't go in that spot then I will just settle with buying a normal PCI card and not complain. The AGP slot spot Max
oh, okay I see what you're referring to. That's a good question whether you can put an AGP slot there. Honestly, I'm not sure. Dell might have build in a mechanism so people can't just add an AGP slot.
hhmm, the answer is yes and no. yes you could but you would have to figure out some way to solder on an AGP slot. Then after that you would have to find an new chipset for the motherboard. So yes you could, but it would be a huge undertaking.
