Hi guys... Does anyone know anything about these: OCZ PC 3500 DDR Memory Sticks of 256 MEG. Is this necesary DDR2? Will it work with my mobo? ASRock P4V88? A pair is on eBay for the moment for £1.25 is it too good to be true? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=6802784305&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT Thanks for looking...
Don't bother with DDR2, the latency is too high to be worth it unless you get very high speeds which you're motherboard would not support. 3500 is good stuff and I trust OCz. The only thing I'd watch out for is the fact that he's a just launched Ebayer. I realize everyone starts out there but for components I'd be a little cautious.
I don't really want to buy DDR2, I just wanted to make sure that PC-3500 does not automatically means DDR2. The price is a bit too good to be true but is it worth missing? I mean, this is 512MB of OC'able fast memory for (at the moment) still under a tenner!!!!! What should I do? WHAT SHOULD I DO????? :stupid:
Wait till the bidding raises, if it's still low at the end jump in at the last second and steal the deal. Otherwise it's a bit risky as those pics could be from a site that reviewed the same memory. DDR2 will always be noted as PC2 or DDR2 so don't worry about that.
Got cold feet in the end.... hah: But most pairs (there were a bout 6 or seven) went for about £20-£25. Never mind, there is always next time.....
Glad you liked my advice, thanks Don't worry about it, there will be many more deals to come, if you wait a bit I'm sure you'll find a great deal from an honest Ebayer with hundreds of positive feedback ratings. Good luck!
