Ram and OC'ing

    can somebody please explain to me the correlation between ram, and the speed of the motherboard. like...ram limiting how much u can overclock in amd proc or w/e. in a post i read, ninja said something about how his ram is holding him back from ocing any further. thx

    yeah, since you have pc-3200 ram that means it will run without any error at 200mhz. with your ram i wouldn't be surprised to see it too upwards of 220mhz without error. Of course, get memtest to test your overclocks http://www.memtest86.com/
    just let it run passes and if you get errors then lower clock speed by small increments until no errors. Be sure for best performance have your FSB/RAM ratio set to 1:1.

    what exactly does the ratio 1:1 mean...does it mean same speeds?
