Ram Voltage Conflicts?

Hi I want to upgrade my friends PC, she has 512 MB RAM on XP and it takes up quite a bit on startup leaving nothing left for anything else.

I bought PC3200 (400MHz) ram from Corsaid Value Select. The motherboard is DIMM with a single 512 stick but I forgot to check the voltage and speed of it to match it with the upgrade.

There seems to be no indication of the voltage on the new stick, it is cas2.5. Will this new upgrade be a problem?

    thanks

Hi, you should be fine with the upgrade, if it's lower speed memory the board will clock both memory modules to that memory bus frequency. the voltage should be fine it will be within 1.8v to 2.2v. if you start having issues when the ram is installed just check the vdram voltage and increase it slightly the pwm will take care of the rest.
