I have an HP a1410n with a crappy 2.4 singlecore 939 socket motherboard (asus A8N-LA) I want to replace my motherboard with a better asus that has socket am2 or am2+ for a better processor.

Can you tell me which of their motherboards would fit?? like crosshair2 or anyothers

This all depends on your case...And after looking up your PC, I would say that almost any platform would work...

theres a good 3 inches of room between motherboard and powersupply and then 2 inches between MB and disk drives, so theres plenty of room, really the issue is screw patterns.

you think a crosshair2 would fit cuz so far thats the best for my money.

tell me if you need a pic to make a good judgement

You will need a picture of both, the motherboard and the inside of the case.. Most cases will have the ability to run most motherboards, only changing the connection plate..

The motherboards are different in the way they bolt, BUT you should take a look at your case, to see if there are holes where the New Motherboard will bolt..It should work,But if it will not, then just buy a new case...You can buy a case for under $40.00....
