    hi

my friends comp restarts while gaming or whenever there is excessive load (like burning cds, ripping etc.) we think the problem could either be with the RAM or power supply. how right are we? besides we ran memtest and it showed nothing faulty. Wat could be the other possible causes for this to happen?

I would also go and check the temps. Download SppedFan for this and/or throw an eye into the BIOS.

What kind of MB are you using?...If its a P4 then that plug is required. I really don't know the symptoms of forgetting to plug tis additional power signal to the MB, but that may be the cause....or at least could be the cause for any other upcoming major issue.
