Just received a replacement router/modem (Zoom 5654 Model) this morning. The original one overheated as far as tech support and myself could determine. Everything is working fine and I can use Linux once again (yipeee!), as I could not get a connection in Linux using my old SpeedTouch 330, so I was stuck with using XP, where the ST 330 works fine. Question: do router/modems tend to generate more heat than an ordinary ADSL modem? The reason I ask is that the replacement router/modem's casing feels quiet warm to the touch - but not nearly as warm as the original one that I had to send back! Using a router/modem is relatively new to me, but do they generally get quiet warm, as my old SpeedTouch 330 never seemed to generate any heat at all? Cheers, David
