Hi All, I have a 200GB SATA hardrive in which Windows Server2003 was installed.Windows got stuck and so i rebooted . I had to reboot twice to get to the CHKDSK screen. But Windows was getting stuck each time before loading fully.Now when I try to reinstall Windows Server and format using NTFS , it stops at 20% and then I hear some creaky sounds from the harddrive and after about 5 mins , the setup exits saying something like a fatal error , Windows cannot procedd further . Its the same when I install Fedora 6 . Is there any chance of salvaging my hardisk? Please help!!
I say, the disc is gone. Try and salvage as much data as you can and send it [eg the disc] to some warranty service or something.
