    Hi all, new user :).

So i may have acquired an IBM eserver x345 from a surplus computational containment depository (a dumpster....) and am having difficulty getting it setup.

If i leave it to boot of it's own accord, it gets to the BIOS load-up screen fine, gives options for diagnostics, config, partition boot and network boot. If i press nothing, it will continue to the BIOS boot-up screen and try to find devices to boot from, but finds none. It gives me a message saying "MPT boot rom, no supported devices found!", then goes to a screen showing an ascii representation of a floppy disk going into a floppy drive.

In the config, i think i have it set to boot from the CD first, but it makes no movements in that direction (i have a working Arch-Linux install CD in the drive)

Does anyone know *anything* about setting up IBM servers?. Or where i could get some answers?

Also, feel free to move this if it's in the wrong section.

    Thanks! :)
