    Hi,
I was wondering if any one has an answer to this question. I have a compaq presario 2500 with an onboard video card. It's an ATI Mobility Radeon IGP 345M which has 64mb of Video RAM. My RAM is 1GB and it's DDR SDRAM I believe. when I start up it says I have 940mb Left over so I want to use around 256mb for my video ram, so my question is, can it be done?

possibly, just enter the BIOS & go to integrated peripherals & select the desired amont of RAM to share with the grfx[ot]although most older mobo's were restricted to sharing 64Mb[/ot]BTW: what is the make & model of your mobo ?

Edit: just goggled compaq presario 2500 & it came up as a laptop, if you have a manual have a look at it of try to find one online[ot]the manual will tell you the maximum sharable RAM[/ot]

There might also be a option to increase the IGPs memory, using its drivers (ie Right-click on desktop -> properties -> Advanced).

i pressed f2 at start up and there was like 32mb, 64mb, 128mb and auto. It was set to auto so I changed it to 128mb. I still have heaps of RAM left so I was wondering can I configure my bios to allow more?
