Hello, I recently took over my brother's older computer, and build it into my case. The harddisk I used in my previous computer, I am now using as a secondary drive in this one. The master drive is my brothers 80GB drive that came with the computer. I've formatted the drive, and reinstalled windows XP and everything on it, and got it all back up and running. I installed Lock On: Modern Air Combat and I've been playing this game now for a couple of weeks and everything went completely fine. Now yesterday, when I wanted to play my game, I noticed how my framerates were absolutely terrible. At first I thought that maybe it was because of the addons I had installed for the game, but even after uninstalling those they had not improved. I also noticed an unfamiliar sound coming from the computer. It's kind of a high pitched-squeeky/scratchy kind of noise. (There is no ticking noise or anything) I hear it everytime I try to access files, or during a game of Lock On. Now I'm fairly sure this is coming from my harddrive, but I wonder what could be the problem. I'm fearing that I will possibly have to purchase a new harddrive, but I'd like some opinions from you guys first. I appreciate the help, Kolguyev.
