ive imported loads of songs from my mp3 player back to my pc however when i try and play any of them in sonicstage i keep getting this message " cannot play this track because its licensing information cannot be retrieved" any ideas on what to do?
I've not messed with Sonic Stage, but given that MP3's don't adhere to DRM copy-protection schemes, that's what the program is looking for. I don't know if it's strictly limited to tracks that are liscensed or if there's a setting that you can change. I'd dig around in the tools or program options to see if you can find any setting. Sorry for being vauge here, but that's the best I can come up without having ever heard of this program before.
well i'm a mini disc guy so i've had some brief experience with sonic stage, but i do know many a people who use sonic stage. Anyways, sonic stage has always been really odd, does odd things and has a lot of issues, so who knows it could just be some bug. But it does sound like it wants a license to play the file, so if the song was downloaded or whatever without a license it might not work. On a side note, i have heard that the newest version of sonic stage is a lot more stable than the previous versions.
all the music is from CD and i dont understand why they wouldnt have licences, literally 6,000 tracks plus, its mental, so i am putting them all back on pc, the new vresion is also shit, i am having problems actually sending stuff to my player now:NW HD5 AHHHHHHHHH i love it for its battery life and size but i could just kill it now!!
ok wait, if they came from a CD, then i think you just might have ripped it wrong, there are usually options to rip it from CD and copy the License with it to the HDD, so that might fix your solution. yeah i know it Sonic stage is crazy, i had a MZ-RH1, but i needed money and a friend bought it full price, need to get another one. But yeah, try that see if it works
i had put the music on the mp3 player once before but mp3 messed up and the people on the phone told me to initialize it so i did, then i had no rights? this is why i am like what the hell
well you should need to transfer over the rights to the MP3 player anyways, i was saying to the Hard drive, that way Sonic Stage might work.
