I have TCSP Pandora Tomarrow and when i install it, everything is working fine untill it asks me to insert the second CD, when i take the first one out, an error message pops up saying, ERROR: No disk in drive, please insert SCCD 1, but if i leave the second disk in and ignore the message the second disk installes, but when it asks for the 3rd one, it just closes, and this has always happended, i have cleaned them and it still happens. i just want to know how to fix it.:swear:

Hey SexiMexi, I've found something on the internet that might help;

Here's a link to the a topic in the Ubisoft forums which sort of looks like the problem you're having.

This is from the Ubisoft website too, maybe the quoted solution might help you;

For PCs with Windows XP: it is best to leave the installation window
maximized.
If a problem is experienced under Windows XP while installing, try once again,
this time leaving the installation window active. (This only occurs with
Windows XP).

My possible solutions;

Do you wait for the drive to stop spinning when you take the cd out, maybe you're taking it out too soon.

Programs like Deamon Tools that create a ghost drive in windows can also cause problems, maybe you have a similar program like that installed.

Does your computer have multiple cd / dvd drives, did you try installing the game with all of them.

Have you installed all the latest updates for your hardware? Maybe your cd drive (s) need a firmware update?

Good luck, I hope you succeed in fixxing the problem.

Greetings,

Marcus

well i have all the lastes software, and i have looked at that site, and that was not my problem becuase i tried it both ways, i only have on CD and one DVD Drive but i think it might be that i dont let it stop spinning, but i had the same problem with Age of Empires 3, but i just ignored the error message and it seemed to install it fully, but like i said above, when i ignore it, it shuts down. so im gonna try letting the drive shut down all the way before i take it out (i do not think that is the problem tho becuase i walk away and come back when i think its done and it says please insert next disk)

Does it ask for the next cd only, or can you specify a location where to find the needed files? Otherwise you could try copying the cd contents to your hd and continue installation that way.

Is your computer self built? It's harder to find updates for specific components when you've got a self built pc. Alternatively, did you look for possible available updates from your computer manufactors website.

Maybe posting your machine specs could allow other users to help you out.

Good luck,

Marcus

well i fixed the problem, all i did was go to start -> My Computer -> add or remove hardware -> and then clicked on add from CD/DVD or something and i found the installation file in and ran it from there but just so u know it asked me to please insert the next disk into the E drive but i could choose a different location if i wanted to, i was not sure if that would help tho beucase i didn't know of any other place i could put it.

As for you wondering why it's able to specify another location for the files;

There's an alternative installation method which works for some games which involves copying all content from the install cd to your hdd, and running installation from that location instead of the usual cd method.

This method, if available can come in handy when normal installation doesn't work properly.

Good to see you've worked it out though.

Booya!

Marcus.
