Hello All I have a task to develop an ST506 to IDE drive interface. The detail is as follows: A system is using Masscomp Computer MAC5500 and Masscomp Real Time Unix 3.1 as Operating System. System uses a multibus disk controller card DSD 5215, which controls a ST506 Hard drive and a 5.25 inch Floppy drive. I have tasked to replace the ST506 hard disk with IDE hard disk due to its high failiar rate. I have to do it either by replacing this controller card with a multibus IDE disk controller card or by making an interface card which change the ST506 protocols to IDE.
