On start up, when cold my pc keeps shutting down and restarting every 10-15 secs with the gap between shut downs getting longer as it warms up. Sometimes its 10-15 times before it runs for longer than 2 mins. After 30 mins or so it seems to run fine, just an odd shut down now and again [blue screen different stop code each time]
When you say its "cold", what sort of condtions are your PC in? If for example the unit is in a cold room overnight, it can damage the parts in side, which would explain why it doesn't boot up properly. If this is the case, I would suggest leaving the PC on all the time, as this is what you are supposed to do, but not many people do it anyway.
this problem has just started after 13 months from new, no change in enviroment, just changed mobo made no difference. Just about ready to go through window, not me that is.
true. I know a pc thats been on for the last 7 years, used only for email. Something like a 100mhz p1
Hey! Please touch the CPU's hole! If That was a cold!maybe had another problems!but if that was warm or hot you must abstract that and putting with silicon gel! ok?
Hi, seems like you could have an issue with ram. Ram can cause random restarts when it's going faulty. I presume your system bios posts and it starts to load the OS during the OS loading screen it restarts? I would try running memtest on your memory modules also try one module at a time. What OS are you using? Also disconnect your reset switch from the motherboards control panel. you will be suprised it does fix alot of peoples problems due to a faulty reset switch.
