Hi, Ill say the situation. -First off im getting 100% CPU Usage, on desktop... wtf... but heres a little brief of whats up- My Main PC broke, so i got some parts fixed. But kept the main parts, like Mobo, Harddrive, Power Supply... but my gfx (powercolor 9800 pro) broke, so i got rid of that. SO i made a new computer out of old bits, not using any of these ones. and bought myself a nice new 9800 pro Atlantis - sapphire. Then, i got my stuff back from my main PC, and decided to rebuild my main PC. I put in this new 9800 pro, had some usul problems, like Hardrive installing, XP, and the usual blue screen of death sh!t. But i fixed that, got into XP, installed some games, drivers -Sound, GFX (new ATI ones) SP1+1a / 2 and standard drivers. But on my game World Of warcraft, i 'Tried' to play... i was getting 1fps.. and it isnt net lag, its graphics lag. I know this gfx card is good, and is working, as it was in my other pc, and running nicely and quickly. I cant find anythign else to do. Done reinstalling game, and drivers, and .net... previous drivers, driver cleaner... ------------------------------------------------------------ ill list my processes, theres nothing wrong with what im seeing... Explorer.exe - 15k Firefox.exe -24k isafe.exe -7k Isass.exe -1k Services.exe -3k Smss.exe -.3k Soundman.exe -2k Spoolsv.exe -5k Svchost.exe -5k Svchost.exe -3k Svchost.exe -4k Svchost.exe -8k ctfmon.exe -2k csrss.exe -3k system -.2k System Idle Process .02k vsmon.exe (Zonealarm btw) -15k Winlogon.exe -.8k Zlclient.exe -3k ---86% CPU Usage Pysical Memory(K) -Total 1048052 - Available 807640 -System Cache 529088 --- When i first built this PC, i was barely getting over 30% cpu usage on games... and wtf... need help, otherwise im gunna reinstall, / chuck this out the Window... then Kill Bill gates, and buy a Mac

Hi there, No need to kill anyone. And you needn't buy a Mac either. If data is not a problem, then format the HDD; better still, backup you data files (data files only, mind you) and then format. Reinstall Windows and all the other stuff ie. graphics drivers, lan, sound etc. except the following: no service packs, Windows or Internet Explorer please! Also see that all power saving modes are switched off in Display properties/Screen Saver/Power. Also, disable Display Power Management in the BIOS. Install your games and run. Of course, the latest version of DirectX should be installed. Good luck. Chinmoy
