I have an asus P5n-d and have a set of couple of year old 5.1 surround sound speakers, the problem is these speakers have only the wires, no jacks on them.

Is there anyway to put jacks of some sort on the speakers, or get them to work with either my pc or my xbox 360?

    Cheers

    Yes there is....

Purchase the jacks you need and solder the wires to the jacks

Depending on the speakers of course, but you almost definitely will need an amplifier to drive the un-powered speakers. If I am understanding you correctly- you are trying to drive them with your motherboard? Because that's a "no no."

You need an iron, but you can also just twist up the wires to their connectors on the jack. You can buy the jacks at RadioShack most-likely for less than $5 (probably $1.99)
