I'm not too sure if this would be a CPU, cooling, or mobo problem. CPU: AMD 7750 Kuma BE (Stock cooling) Mobo: ASUS M3A78-CM Recently I installed some hardware monitoring software(PC Probe II, Everest, Core Temp, Speedfan, HW Monitor, and AMD OverDrive). On all of these they should abou tthe same Temperature reading. CPU: 62-63C Core1:44-47C Core2:44-47C My case has adequite airflow with 3 exhaust fans in the rear,2 intake fans at the front, and 1 side intake fan. I read reviews of people using the stock HSF and getting excellent temps. I've also read on many sites that a 2-3 temp difference would most likely be seen between the cores and the CPU but still. If the 2 cores inside the CPU don't exceed 45C then how can the whole CPU be 60C+? I read on the Everest forums that PC Probe II cause some problems for people, but after uninstalling it I still get the same read outs. I guess what I'm really asking is.. Are these readings normal? Is my CPU temp off? Should I follow the CPU temp or the Core temps? Here are all the temp monitoring programs running Thanks in advanced, Panda P.S. Already bought some more Arctic Silver 5 to re-apply just in-case that's the problem.
yeah it was under about 50-60% load. The only thing is that I didn't know it was under load. My Ativa wireless adapter driver was eating up my CPU. I got it fixed and now my cpu is at a reasonable usage. After disabling the adapter it did bring my temp down. But just a bit. From 62-63C to 57-58C. Core Temps are running at a steady 41C. Still high bit I hope with the application of the new AS5 it goes down to a normal level.
hi, are you overclocking at all? your cpu temps are failry high but not to bad. you should replace the stock cpu heatsink and that will put a end to all your worries. will only cost around £10 - £20 for a fairly good one. here's one for socket AM2+ only £18 which aint bad.
