I ran across a couple of high-end power supply reviews.

First, PC Perspective has OCZ's 1000W ProXStream on the review block:

The new ProXStream 1,000W joins the GameXStream 700W power supply as being two of the best power supplies OCZ has brought to market. The ProXStream 1,000W PSU delivers a lot of stable power in a very compact enclosure. The DC outputs were solid and the +12V rails were very strong. The overall efficiency was good and the 80mm cooling fan did an excellent job of keeping all the internal bits cool, at the expense of being noisy. In addition to the sleeved cables, the black-chrome finish looks awesome. For the majority of power users and/or gamers who are looking for a compact, high output power supply, and who are not too worried about noise, the OCZ ProXStream 1kW PSU should be an excellent choice.

    Meanwhile, [H]ard|OCP pounds a Thermaltake ToughPower 1200W:

As the video indicates, much to our amazement, the Toughpower 1200w is indeed capable of producing its rated 100A output as I was able to push the unit to 100A by dropping the 3.3v, 5v, and +5vsb loads and loading the PCI-Express connectors, ATX, and EPS connectors to 100A at 49c. This feat did push the Toughpower beyond its rated output by ~16w but for the ~20 minutes I tested it the unit did not flinch. This feat is outright amazing and a testament to how far Thermaltake has come and what a good CWT design can do. At this time there is no consumer power supply available on the retail market with advertised 12v load specifications close to the Toughpower 1200w let alone delivering on them in our testing procedure.

Both units walk away with impressive performance and ratings. Those looking at running a pair of GeForce 8800GTX in SLI or upcoming R600 in Crossfire should keep these two units on their short list.
