Now my hard drives almost died. I was using my PC happily until i tried to install media player 10. Then my hard drive started making weird noises and it stopped responding. So i restarted but windows wouldn't boot up. Then restarted again and it said such a file was missing so it can't start Windows. Got into the XP setuip and it said my hard drive was damaged or it needed reformatting. I tried to reformat but half an hour later it was still on 0%. Went into the recovery console and its formatting now, but not sure if its actually going. :mad:

Seriously, been there, done that. Then you find out later on, it was totally your fault most of the time. I'd buy you a beer, but, 1.)your across the ocean; and 2.) aren't you under age for drinking in the UK still?
 
You can buy me a new gaming pc if you like. And I'll pay you back with £5 a month payments for 20 years.
 
I just had a look at the progress and after 1 hour its 3% complete. So just stopped it. I'm probably going to have to send it back anyway. Why why why do I have trouble with IT? Damn hardware always goes wrong. Might take up knitting, or women instead.
