We have two computers using the same bt wireless hub to get on the internet and want to transfer a file from one to the other.

How can I do it? Ive tried using the wireless network wizard in control panel (xp home) but it just flashes some box up.

EDIT: After about an hour of opening and closing the hub manager and windows control panel we just put the file on a cd. 2142 and Secret Weapons demo!

Now we want to host our own LAN games with 4 pcs so im guessing its harder than just transferring files.

Im convinced it should be easier! None of the wizards work, the closest ive got is to disconnect the pcs from the wireless hub then a netgear wireless pci card is in a list in the wizard but still the wizards dont do anything. Should it be as simple as clicking through the wizard? I dont know whether we want to all connect to the hub, or each other or what!. I think it might be easier to all go home and do it over the net!

    A few things to check:

Can you go into a command prompt on both computers and type:

    Code:
    ipconfig /all
    Post the results here.

Secondly, have you allowed 'File & Print sharing' in the Windows Firewall (or other firewall)?

And last, have you set up a shared folder on both computers with the right permissions?

BTW, are you using XP Pro or Home?
