Hello. I have a Toshiba 32AV50U tv and I am trying to hook up my HTPC to it. The HTPC specs are
q8200
4gb of ram
NVIDIA 9500GT
Windows Vista 32 bit
Before this build I took my other computer and hooked it up to the tv that same way as I tried my HTPC. It's specs are:
q6000
4gb of Ram
NVIDIA 8800GTX
Windows Vista 32bit
The way I am hooking these pcs up to my tv are a dvi to hdmi cable with a 3.5mm cable for sound. My other computer just did fine when I hooked it up. But now with my HTPC it doesn't work as well. This is the problem: I will turn the HTPC on and I get the mobosplash screen, then I get the vista logo, and then I make it to the desktop and for maybe five minutes then the picture all of a sudden it goes blank. The only way I can get the picture back is to turn the tv off then turn it back on and the picture stays for another five minutes. What is casing this problem? Any help would be appreciated.
Edit: and btw when I hook my HTPC up to my computer monitor everything works fine.
