Update and Thanks

    Thanks so much you guys. Your help and recommendations have made my experience with Linux so enjoyable.

    Haven't updated in awhile, but I know have my Mandrake partition configured exactly as I want. I have pretty much mastered installing things, which I was really struggling with. Still haven't managed to install O:confused: 2.0, but that's okay.

    I have also managed to master some basic command line functions, and continue to play around with it and learn more.

    If it weren't for you guys and your willingness to help, I would not have been able to do this. :beer:

    No problem, I really enjoy helping people step out of the status quo. Understanding how package managers work in Linux was challenging for me as well, but once you get the concepts down I feel it's much easier to manage software in Linux than in Windows or Mac. As for OOo 2.0, I did a little writup about it over in this thread, hope it helps. I'll continue to add content as time allows.

    Good for you! I'm glad you were willing to stick out the beginning, which is always the hardest.
