    Hello,
Im having a nightmare of a time with something I assumed would be simple and straight forward.
    ok.....
    I have a media player (inoi 320gb)
    http://www.maplin.co.uk/500gb-media-player-221816
I love this media player because its simple, sterdy and very reliable.
I wanted to upgrade the memory so I baught the EXACT same internal hard drive but a 500gb version (the man in the shop told me it could cope with anything up to 1tb hard drive)
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Western-Digital-WD5000AAJS-55A8B0-500Gb-SATA-Hard-Drive-/270753551267
So I have removed the old 320gb and replaced it with the 500gb one. (it slots in via a sata connection)

But when plugged into a pc, it dosnt appear in 'My Computer'
It only appears in the device manger under 'disk drives'
And when plugged into the tv via scart, it just says 'no disk'

Now is there something I have to do to set this blank hard drive up to be recognized as an external device?

im pulling my hair out about this. I even messaged the person I baught it from and asked for a refund and he replyed ' i think it just a case of it being blank and needing setup' and so I asked him to help me lol. still awaiting on that one.

Please please please reply with advice on this
    kind regards
    sara
