usb case

Im trying to use an old usb case with a new harddrive. Ive tested the hd internally and it works fine. When i try using the usb case it gives me an error saying the device cannot start(code 10). The usb case is made for usb2.0 but is backwards compatible. I have a usb1.1 pci card. Is the problem with the card or the case?

I think maybe you have the wrong drivers installed? you would be better of with a USB 2.0 PCI Card.

well after installing a usb 2.0 card it turned out to be the case. i got another one coming from newegg.
