Usb Mouse Problems!!!

    Recently I bought USB MOUSE MS INDUSTRIAL MM-705L.My previous mouse was TRUST PS2 MI-2100.But now my new usb mouse do not work!!!The first time I plugged it in usb port windows recognized it and it worked fine but then I installed the software that comes with the mouse and I restarted computer and then it happened!!!All the buttons on the mouse work but when I move the mouse,pointer do not move!!!I tried uninstalling the drivers for old and for the new mouse and the software as well but it still doesnt work!!!I am desperate!!!!I also bought the keyboard(MS INDUSTRIAL KB-714).This is also USB keyboard and my old keyboard was ps2!!!Could it be that the keyboard is cousing the problem or the drivers or what???So if anyone can help me please do so.

    Did the USB peripherals come with USB-PS2 connectors? Do they work ok with them if they have them?

    can you switch then too another usb port ? how many usb ports do you have ?
    you could try this,in device manager uninstall all your usb devices ,,
    your mouse and keyboard and then reboot... then see if windows recognized it,
    if it does, then just use there drivers, if it doesn't then try your software once again... If that does not work, then it could be a faulty mouse/keyboard.
