i have been looking for a video card with hdmi.i would like to watch movies ect on my hd tv.i have found an external video card that might be just what i am looking for but i am not sure.what i need to know is are these cardes any where close to the internal cardes that are used in desktop computers?i would like to use this card both with my desktop and my laptop.i could take the card any where i can take my laptop.are these cardes what i am looking for.like i said i want to watch movies as well as downloads and internet tv.i am not a big gammer so that is not an issue.any help would be great.

i have taken a better look and decided that the external card will not come close to what i am looking for.first and most imporant the card will not be in or any where near close to hd next after reading a few custmer comments the resulation probly will not come close to filling my 47in screen.i have decided to go with the internal card.i think for the cost and what i want to use the card for that will be the best way for me to go.i have looked a several video cards hdmi on amazon and found probly 10 or more under $60.since i am not going to do much if any gamming these cards should work out fine.i want to use the card for things like watching justin tv or hulu i might buy a blu ray internal dvd player and use it also for that.i havr read that these will suport playing blu ray movies as for gamming the custmer comments say that they were happy with the card when playing games so no matter what i want to do or may want to do i think this will b ethe best way to go.i have been think i might want to get a pvr and hook it up to my scientific atlantic cable box up to my desktop and use my external hard drive to copy some tv.i am not sure that this will do what i want to do as far as being able to watch internet movies as well as internet tv like i want to.any help would be great.i cant thank you guys enough for your time and help.if it were not for u i would probly buy the wrong thing and have to go back to frys 2 or 3 times befor i got what i wanted/any help with this would be great.
