video card problem or monitor problem ??

hi , last two days i've been online or gaming and my monitor just goes blank/black , it stays on full power(doesnt go into standby) just goes black , if i turn the monitor off then on again it comes back up working , then maybe does it again or not , anyone any idea wether this is a card problem or a monitor problem ? any advice would be appreciated.

which monitor is this?

It does sound like the monitor is having problems, rather than being the graphics card. Have you checked the wires to make sure nothings wrong?

Just wondering are you active on the computer when the computer monitor goes off or idle?
 
hi , its a benq tft monitor , it happens when i'm using the computer , someones suggested it may be over heating .
