Hey, I just installed said software in Windows Vista. The first time it ran, it ran smoothly, however when I tried running it for the second time, the hourglass-ring thingy revolves a couple of times, the process is starting (as I can see through task manager) although there is nothing even close to related to YM shows on the display. Have tried running it as administrator even though on an admin-account as well as in compatibility/XP mode, still the same result. If I try running it again I just start another process, and also If I try uninstalling the uninstaller freezes at 0%. Have done some research - some guy suggested uninstalling manually before installing without any toolbars n other thingymebobs, which I did in the first place. I'm really stuck here, and as I've got no exp on using Vista at all (XP man, not my comp) I might have overseen some fancy features.. Anyone able to help me out?
Might be a good idea to read comments on yahoo messenger blog Yahoo! Messenger Blog Updated 9.0 addresses Vista issues (its slightly old but still might help) If you can get version 9 removed, install a older version instead, from the looks of it version 9 still has problems with vista.
