OK im gonna copy and paste my explaination of the problem i made to my friend, because its long so thats why its formatted and worded this way.
[10:27] Marsh: ok so i have an LCD monitor and an nvidia 8800GTS
[10:27] Marsh: uses a vga to dvi adapter
[10:27] Marsh: anyways
[10:28] Marsh: works fine forever except when i play battlefield 2142
[10:28] Marsh: a white generic screen comes up
[10:28] Marsh: and i figured out if i just unplug and replug it in it comes back as normal
[10:28] Marsh: so i did that
[10:28] Marsh: this morning i wake up and its on that same white screen but when i went to bed it was just on my desktop
[10:28] Marsh: not in the game
[10:28] Marsh: so i unplugged and replugged
[10:28] Marsh: didnt help
[10:29] Marsh: so i restarted
[10:29] Marsh: and the flash screens and bios screens come up for a second and then fade away into this whiteness
[10:29] Marsh: whenever te screen would change it would flash up for a second then fade into the white
[10:29] Marsh: so im like wff
[10:30] Marsh: so i unplug it from computer and power
[10:30] Marsh: when i replug it in
[10:30] Marsh: it wont turn on
[10:30] Marsh: like theres no power to the monitor
[10:30] Marsh: so im like wtf it died on me
[10:30] Marsh: so i grab the crt monitor from the computer next to me just to make sure it works
[10:30] Marsh: plug it in, now that one wont turn on
[10:31] Marsh: i unplug both monitors and plug them both in the other computer thats always been fine
[10:31] Marsh: neither of them turn on
[10:31] Marsh: ive tried different outlets
[10:31] Marsh: direct to the outlet, and through the protector
[10:31] Marsh: other devices on the outlets work
[10:31] Marsh: computer all boot fine
[10:31] Marsh: something else weird was
[10:32] Marsh: when i grabbed the crt when it worked to put it into mine, i had it powered on, but when i plugged it into the adapter, and then plugged the adapter into the dvi port
[10:32] Marsh: the monitor power light went off
[10:32] Marsh: when i plugged it in
[10:33] Marsh: now neither of the monitors will even turn their power lights on when plugged in no matter if hooked up to any computer or not
[10:33] Marsh: and it makes no sense to me
[10:33] Marsh: id buy a new monitor if i thought that was th eproblem but obviously it looks like my computer is frying them or something i dunno

If anyone could dhelp id really appreciate it. Im scared to just go buy a new monitor because i think itll probly just break like the crt i hooked up thats on the computer next to me. PLEASE HELP!
