what do I need to set up a usb 2.0 connection for one laptop only

    Hi

    can some one tell me please what do i need to set up a usb 2.0 connection (i have only usb 1.1 on my laptop) for one laptop: toshiba satellite 1400-s151 with window xp home editioon. (not very old model: just before 2002). Therefore, usb 2.0 is not build in, just the usb 1.1. i heard you need a network pc card and cables but i don't know what exacctly are they. therefore, can you please let me know as soon as u can! thank you very much!

    if you want to use USB 2.0 speeds you will need buy a USB 2.0 laptop/notebook card. can I ask what are you trying to do?

    i am trying to transfer data from external hd (that suppors usb 2.0) to the laptop then that data i just transfered to another hd (or do u think i can transfer data simutaneously from one external hd to another external hd via 2 usb 1.1 or usb 2.0 connections?
    and about the USB 2.0 laptop/notebook card, do u know and which one is the best to buy and what exacly does it look like (never seen one before sorry :))

    Like Sniper said, you'll need to purchase a USB 2.0 PCMCIA card to take advantage of the USB 2.0 speeds.
