    This is my first build ever and i wanted to see if looks like a good gaming system.

    Specs:
    Case: Aspire X-plorer
    CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3700+(2.2ghz, 2000fsb, sock. 939)
    MoBo: Asus A8N-E
    Memory: Patriot 1gb 2x 512 CAS 2-3-2-5
    GPU:Sapphire Radeon x800 XL
    PSU: Antec Smart Power 2.0 500watts
    Hard Drive: Western Digital Cavier SE16 250 gb, 16mb cache, SATA II, 7,200rpm
    Optical Drive: Lite-On Dual Layer DVD rw/r
    Sound Card: Creative SB Audigy 2 ZS Gamer ED.
    Monitor: Sceptre 19 in LCD 12 ms, 500:1, 300 cd/m2

    Thats gonna be a sweet system,
    may i recommend a X800XT instead of XL, maybe get Corsair or OCZ RAM,(those are strange timings), and maybe a Sony or LG DVD Burner instead as ive heard some strange things about Lite-On burners!

    nice man, in very minor differences you and me have a very similar rig

    people have said it before, dont go with maxtor, try something like western digital or seagate.

    as matt555 said dont go with maxtor please!
    and these days an absolute minimum of 512MB RAM is hghly recommended, and should consider Corsair or OCZ RAM!
    And if that case comes with that PSU id also recommend a new PSU, like OCZ, Enermax or Antec!
