My hard drive pooped out on me for no apparent reason. Western Digital. So Im going to need to get a new one. What is a great hard drive brand that is also cheap. I gotta work for my new hdd washing cars and being the lazy bum i am working isnt my thing.
Western Digital is usually pretty good, but even they have bad drives. I'd go with Maxtor or Seagate if WD doesn't float yer boat.
If you want native SATA, go with Seagate, otherwise I love WDs. Maxtors are sweet drives too EDIT: fixed a typo
I ended up Picking a WD 120GiG. cmon, 120 gigs for 40 USD! And i also pickedup a shnazzy antec smartpower 350watt power supply...
it was funny, i was going to buy an aspire power supply, it was black aluminum with an acrylic cover and two LED fans...UV cable sleeves and UV molex..but the guy was like, dude dont get this it sucks balls. its 500watts peak, and it has really unstable rails. the antec is true 350watt, and it blows the sh*# off this aspire
Nothing a bat to the kneecaps can't fix. j/k Unless I don't need that type of power, I won't use anything less than 300W, usually 350W. I do run my file server off a 250W, but then it's usually not doing too much other than sitting there. The next time I build a new box, I plan to buy a new PSU, since I'll be looking at a system overhaul then.
