Ok so this a little wierd (sp?). As many of you kow I have a MONSTER cooler. I have 2 92 mm Vantec Tornadoes on that monster cooler. I have one 80 mm case fan intakeing over the video card and another over the hard drive. The CPU cooler intakes in the front from the fan by the hard drive and exhausts out the back fan hole. My PSU has 2 80 mm fans that are both exhausting. I have an Abit motherboard with dual 40 mm OTES fans that exhaust out the back. And with all this, with my fans at full throttle, my idle temp is a quite warm 34* C. My PWM are very cool with those OTES fans and so is my video card with the fan blowing over it, but not the CPU. What am I doing wrong here? Do I need more intake power (my intake fans are cheap low CFM)? Do I need more exhaust power (my only exhaust is the PSU and the rear fan hole where the CPU fan pushes out air)? I'm at a loss. My thermal paste is on right (at least I think) with about the thickness of a piece of paper or 2. Can you guys come up with what I'm doing wrong?
try taking off a tornado of your heatsink and just have one pushing air across to the back of your case.
I realize that 34 is nothing to worry about but with this cooler my temps should be considerably cooler. As far as going with the flow the pretty much do. I took the LED fan out of the front and replaced it with an 80 mm Tornado that i had lying around. It hasn't done much of anything.
I can try to look at it. If not it's going to be a major pain in the *** to tighten it. But I do think that may be part of it.
