hi, what is the difference between "TFT" monitor and "LCD monitor" actually i want to buy this lcd, but it has two variants one is TFT and one is LCD, please check the below links and tell me that whats the difference between two thanks http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-SM22...7523264&sr=8-1 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-SM22...7523264&sr=8-2
They both use similar technology but its implemented in a slightly different way. Basically TFT's use transistors to control sub pixels (active matrix) whilst LCD's use passive matrix technology which instead of using transistors use two wires (horizontal and vertical) which intersect below each sub pixel. Both options control the amount of current that flows to a liquid crystal and therefor control whether that crystal is "on" and how bright it will be. TFT stands for Thin Film Transistor so the clue is in the name
Thats not very helpful now is it??? why did you need to put that in lol (There is only subtle differences not really enough)
Unless technologies have improved since I last read about the subject TFT rules. TFT gives better definition and colour control as well as a quicker picture display.
I figured since the original question is already answered... and ALSO... since were on the topic... why not ask? Or should i make a whole new thread for my question? c'mon, seriously
Well if you read what Tech 1079 said it would have answered it for you they are very similar so no real difference, we wouldn't notice. But sorry if i upset you.
I just though maybe there would be more to it than what he explained. You didnt upset me, its all good
