My question is which drive is the fastest, and hence on which one should i run my windows system to get the most speed...i list below the details of the drives... currently own these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136320 (running the current system on this) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136033 buying this now: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...11-Index-_-InternalHardDrives-_-22136793-L07D i am running: 1 x Rosewill Conqueror RPS-01-WB500P Triple 120mm Fans Steel ATX Mid tower Computer Case with 500W Power Supply 1 x ASUS M4A78T-E AM3 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard 1 x AMD Phenom II X3 720 2.8GHz Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Black Processor HDZ720WFGIBOX 1 x OCZ Reaper HPC 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model OCZ3RPR16004GK
Hi, I would say the one you are buying is the fastest, it has the fastest through put (data transfer rate) of the 3 with the most cache memory. It doesnt spin as fast as the raptor drive but the data transfer rate per second is much better.
idk for a boot drive the raptor might come out on top as it has a faster seek time and lower latency. that coupled with the new drive being scaled back to sata 2 by your motherboards sata controler. In all honesty i would personaly test them to find out.
Hi Appyserbs, You can download and run Belarc and it can give you detailed information about your hardware and software on your computer. You can download it (its freeware) from here : http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
