I know for RAM we use Mbs or GBs for eg 512Mb RAM. Processor GHz or AMD use 2800+....... HDD - 20GB ......... CD, DVD r/w -- 48x Graphics Card .....smthing like RAM....Mbs Dont have to worry about Floppy Drives.... Power - 350watts USB - 1.1 or 2.0 Speakers - watts or PMPO All the above things...we know bigger is good. But I never understood, How can I choose motherboard. Which thing I need to look at it. which one is higher version.
You'll have to be more specific than AMD 2800+ Is it an Athlon XP? An Athlon64? Sempron? Sempron64? Given the power requirements of todays parts, even a high-quality 350W power supply is really gonna push it for a decent system. Things to look for in a motherboard: -The price. How much are you willing to spend on a motherboard. A desktop motherboard can run anywhere from $50 to well over $200. -What hardware features do you want? Do you want SLI? Do you want high-end audio integrated in? -Aesthetics. Do you want a flashy color scheme or does it matter? -Is overclocking important? If you want to push your hardware, you'll want to look at companies like DFI, Asus, and Abit over Gigabyte and Foxconn. -Do you want a lot of accessories. Many companies have multiple variations of the same motherboard that may only differ in the accessory package. You'll want to look at what motherboard offers what in the accessory department.
You are damn right......we have to consider so many things be4 bying any Mobo and i think its the same thing for any other part.......for eg RAM.... we have to look if that mobo will support this...or what is our requirements or smthing like that~! Its not my question......My question is how do you differ an old mobo with the latest one....Is it with the number of Pins or any number which company increases everytime when they make a new Mobo~!?
