I recently lost a motherboard on my old homebuilt system due to blown capacitors. Normally this would be a quick fix, just order a new mobo and install it then you're good to go. Unfortunately it's been very hard to find a mobo that will support the old technology in my computer. However, after searching all day I think I finally found one that may work but I wanted to confirm with some other people before I actually pay for it. Here are my computer parts.

    AMD AthlonXP 3200+ processor

    184-Pin DDR400 (PC3200) RAM 2x 1GB (2 GB total)

    Nvidia 7800 GT video card

    500 watt power supply

With the parts listed above I WAS using this motherboard which no longer works

And finally, here is the potential replacement board I found.....Will this board work with my system?

ASRock 939DUAL-VSTA Socket 939 Mainboard with PCI Express x16 and 8X AGP, DDR1, SATA 300 – Refurbished at 3B Tech - Buy computer parts, notebooks, desktops, & home electronics

    Hi,

The board specs for the AS Rock board say it is for a socket 939 processor type (for 64bit processors), but when I googled your current CPU of AMD AthlonXP 3200+ (single 32bit core? ) I am finding that it is socket type A (462) . Unfortunately, the board is not going to be compatible with your current Processor I believe.
