windows adtools problem

    Hi

    spybot keeps finding windows ad tools on my computer, It fixes it but when I use spybot again it is always there!

    The problem is c:\windows\system32\ide21201.vwd

    How can I sort this out?

    Can you post the description spybot gives you of that file?

    For one of many solutions click HERE
    If this doesnt work download a little program called HiijackThis and do a scan and post the results!

    Also try switching to Firefox its better and more secue than IE.

    HI Again

    switched to firefox but the info/pictures are a bit slow at coming on? why is this?
    should I install anything else?

    Dianne, what are your system specs? More specifically, how much RAM does it have?

    I am crap with computer, just use it for pictures and ebay selling etc.

    Where would I look for this info?

    I know it is windows xp 1mb???

    I don't use Windows, but I believe right-clicking on the "My Computer" icon on your desktop and choosing "Properties" from the menu will get you enough information to answer the RAM question. :)

    it say windows microsoft windows xp professional

    version 200
    service pack 2
    800mhz 224 mb ram

    I remember the guy next door partitioning some if it so I could sort my photos on part of it but I think he has used too much space for my pictures etc.

    I have 26.3 gb on c drive 14.3 used

    and 15.6 gb on my d drive (photos) 3.58 used.
