Windows XP networking vs Linksys monitor

ok i have a problem. i had a problem a while ago that was i couldnt get C:SS to stop freezing every 5 mins for about 5 seconds. i figured out how to fix it by reinstalling the wireless adapter.

But now ive been trying to configure networking between two computers but found that i have to use windows zero config monitor to network. but thats what causes my games to freeze is using the windows xp monitor.

but the wierd thing is my friend bought the exact same adapter and connects onto my network when he comes over and plays games using xp monitor and it works fine for him. hes just sharing the internet not connecting to the network.

any idea on what i can do besides run a wire? thanks

a complete backup + reinstall (of windows) + restoring files normally keeps windoze running at what where used to from it!

i already figured it out, hence the solved icon. but yea i just uninstalled the linksys monitor and use the WZC monitor and it seems to work. but i get a high choke rate but my games arent affected. also the amount of choke is enar the ping #, are they realted?
