Windows XP pro Upgrade??

I'll be building a new computer in acouple of days and wondering if i could save money buy just buying the XP pro upgrade cuz i read somewhere if u have any old Windows OS that the upgrade will be enough and u dont have to buy full version, is this correct??

If you have Windows 98 or later, then you will be able to buy the Ugrade version, and put your existing Windows disk in when prompted by the installer. If you don't have it but have a legal copy of 98 or later anyway, then you can use any windows disk.
