For some unknown reason, it appears as if my Windows XP product key has changed.
Put simply, I installed windows roughly around 12 months ago using my usual product key (never had any problems with it before). I've come to do a Windows update just recently only to be presented with a blocked VLK error upon WGA.
I downloaded the WGA tool and noticed that the product key (the last 15 digits) are completely different to the usual key I have always had stuck to my case. I even checked a program called Keyfinder by Magical Jelly Bean and that produced the same result.
I've gone through Microsoft and Keyfinders methods to try and change this current key back to the initial one, however through some reason or another, it just doesnt work.
What has caused this to happen? Would the only fix be to reinstall Windows completely?
