    Hi..

Had XP pro on the pc for some time, but recently had a problem, which ended up in trying to reinstall XP pro.
The problem has gone, but now on boot up I get a dos prompt asking if I want to go to XP Pro setup or windows. I obviously always chose windows, but now I want to get rid of this prompt... Any ideas ?

    Cheers

Right click my computer and select properties. Then click on the 'start up and maintance tab (i think it's call that  ) . You shoud see a drop down box that shows you your boot options. Make sure windows XP is set as default and 'uncheck' the box that says 'show OS loader upon reboot' (or something like that anyway ;) )
There should be another box that says 'show list for' and gives you a time in seconds. Set this to 0.

    Hi

If you have not done any of the suggested, before doing it, can you please post the text you find when you click on the 'Edit' Button? Please see attachment. Do not edit anything in that document yet!!! Just post it so we can see what options are listed. Also, post the options available in the dropdown menu labled - 'Default Operating System'

It could be that by editing the boot-loader you could get rid of the problem rather than disabling the option all together.
