Google Chrome?

Anyone here tried Google Chrome yet? I'm using it at the moment, pages loads faster that FF3, although I don't like the design, and I can't find the home button :D

Go to settings (drop the 'spanner' menu) then options.
In the first tab (basics) tick the "Shoe home button in tool bar".

I am trying this in my Windows under VB so everything is a bit slow.
I find it painfully basic..... but maybe I am missing the point? :eek:

This is the first I've heard of it and I haven't tried it yet because there's no Linux version yet, but it might be for low power internet machines like the EeePC.

I've used it for almost 24 hours now instead of Firefox, and I haven't noticed many differences, except for the fact that it looks awful, and some pages don't render correctly.

I'm back onto Firefox now because I just prefer it!
 
I found it, You have to click on Customize and control Google Chrome, then put in a check mark under, (Always show bookmarks bar ) And you are right this browser is not
PC friendly...
 
Heh I seriously doubt the success prospects of this browser. I haven't tried it, but that's because I don't feel like switching to a browser that doesn't have my beloved FF extensions. :) I have over 10 extensions installed. So many people have put a lot of time and effort into making these extensions good. How will any newcomer browser top all of that? It looks like quite an uphill battle. For people who don't use extensions, well, there's also Opera to choose from (and apparently a lot of you guys on this forum really like it). So what does this 'Chrome' thing hope to accomplish?
Google should just focus on that Haiku OS or w/e they were apparently making. Anyone hopeful for that one?
 
I mainly use Firefox, but Sometimes I will use K-meleon and Opera, I use K-meleon for its speed. It is a real nice fast browser. The New Opera is also fast and works real good now, but before opera the older operas where ugly and I didn't care for its tool bar..
I never you IE, (Internet Explore) That browser is the worst..
 
I'm starting to really like Chrome. I've been using it on Windows and because it uses WebKit (the open source rendering engine used in Safari) it's extremely fast.

After reading the comic that Google made explaining how Chrome works, the notion of having each tab as a separate process makes sense. If a tab crashes on a certain site, it doesn't bring the whole browser down. Also makes memory management better and avoids the bloat you tend to get with Firefox after having many tabs open for a long time. I also like how if a plugin crashes, because it's not single threaded and separate from the tab process, it can recover from the crash.

It brings together the speed of Opera along with the Awesomebar of Firefox and unlike Opera is open source.
