8800 Ultra vs. GTX 260

So, my friend wants to give me a eVGA GTX 260. Clearly, i see that it surpasses my 8800 Ultra in many assets but is it truly better?
It bothers me that a $200 (GTX) card can beat the once $600-800 (8800) card which you can't even buy retail anymore.

It only cost that much because it was new at the time. Even the 9800 GT will beat that card now.

No question, get the GTX 260.
