hey im planning on buying a corsair tx750w power supply for my existing hp pavilion w5130 desktop pc. However I wanted to know if the the new supply will fit in the case? thanksss
If the case supports standard atx psu's then yes. But why are you upgrading the psu? The 750tx is a hefty psu, only needed for sli setups.
how do i know if the case supports standard atx psu's? which psu would be ideal to run any high end graphic's card (single gpu) thnxx
Even for runing a Gtx 280, a good choice for a psu would be a 520-620hx. It really depends what price you find them at, if you can find a 650tx it a low price that would be great as well, same for the 750tx, but the 750tx is a bit over kill. Under the specs of your computer it would probably say, or you can take of the sid panel and look at the psu to see if it says atx anywhere, or you could just link me to your model and i can tell you. net jockey, that 750tx that is powering your rig is Soooooo Sooooo overkill, a 450vx could easily power it. Easily.
^ if his future upgrade's need that much power then i can see that, but honestly if he stays in the realm of single gpu (im considering the x2's a single gpu here as well even though the are basically two gpu's) then he will not not need a 750tx anyway.
HP Pavilion w5130in Desktop PC. this is the link to my model. I tried finding if the psu is atx but couldnt. its an hp pavilion w5130in. thnxx alot
hey this is the link to my model. HP Pavilion w5130in Desktop PC its an hp pavilion w5130in. I looked at images of standard atx cases and i think my model has the same case. Im currently abroad so i dont have my home pc with me. Anyhow your insight would be appreciated before i decide to buy a psu. Thnnxx
the chances are that it will fit a standard atx psu. So just buy one, if it does not fit, return it. it is an hp pc so it is most likely to.
