There are two LEDs in my mouse. A red one and a blue one. When i plug in the mouse, both LEDs are on. Normally before the problem with my mouse, only blue LED will light when I'm not using it. Now the mouse pointer wont move but the LEDs are still on. In the device manager, mouse is not recognised as a hardware. I tried different USB ports. It still doesn't work. Btw its a laptop so i can use touchpad as well. My friend said there is excess voltage on the mouse, but I dont know how to remove it. Please help thanks!

It works sometimes.. When the USB jack is inserted in a certain way.. I dont know which way, it just works sometimes. So I thought its a problem with the jack and i replaced it with another. And its still the same.

USB jack can only go on one way... Try a different mouse...

How many USB ports do you have ?If you have more than one, then use the good one and buy a USB hub, Then you can have up to 6 ports.
