you'll find it a very happy place to be here and unlike some other forums the admin team don't run the forums with an iron rod
 
Hi,
I've joined here hoping to gain some knowledge into how to get my computer to behave itself.
I don't know very much about computers so I'm going to apologise now for all the stupid questions I'm bound to ask.
Hope I'm not going to be to much of a pain.

My name is Josh, I'm US Army inactive reserve while I wait to leave for bootcamp, I built myself a nice PC and unfortunately my parents bought me 8gb of DDR2 ram in 1gb sticks, so I don't exactly have room for it all,

I program and do computer tech analyzing for the military, outside the military I code C++ C D3D Unrealscript html php css asm and pretty much anything else that may be needed for a particular situation.

well i presume that would be what i would have said when i joined HWF but i was wrong i've learnt so much in the past few years i couldn't even try to thank everybody who has helped me although i'll give it a go: Karenislove, Addis, Impy, Mega, Sniper, Big B and obliviously the godfather namely AT.
please accept my apologies if I've forgot anyone.

BTW: i guarantee i will have forgot to mention someone, as i seem to have only mentioned the "old school regulars" anyway thankies everyone

New to HWF but not new to computer hardware or softwares! Nice to meet everyone here with similar interests.
 
It's an honor to find such a forum & to be lucky enough to become part of such a useful community / network. I'm new HWF but I do have a lot of experience with Hardware & adequate experience with software. I've worked as a Computer Technician and I'm pretty good with viruses & intrusions (obviously fighting them). I'm currently unemployed. My name is Tim, and I'm from Philadelphia PA.
